Share the Magic of Homegrown Food
Join our team of professionals creating a new industry in Philadelphia. We design, install, and maintain attractive and functional gardens that yield high-quality fruit & produce in our clients backyards. We are a fast paced & growing business looking for long term employees to help continue to build Backyard Eats into a key driver in broadening the participation in the homegrown food movement for our employees, clients & communities.
Our install crews build the gardens, and our maintenance team plants and maintains them. We call it full service food gardening, and it has allowed us to deliver successful gardening experiences and change lives for hundreds of clients in the Philadelphia area over the last 8 years. We are looking to add to our team of gardeners and professionals.
Each position is an opportunity to work alongside skilled craftsmen, designers, horticulturalists, and professional staff and management to aid in building a custom, high end product for appreciative clientele. You will learn a lot about working in a small, growing business, with all its associated fun & challenges, as you help co-invent Backyard Eats. Employees that have worked out well at Backyard Eats are ones that are able to stick to the proven systems of our offerings and core values, while embracing change and co-creating improvements to our standards through a team and client-centric approach.
When considering seasonal roles, keep in mind that many of the passionate gardeners that occupy full time positions started as seasonal employees who were offered full time positions after their seasonal employment. Things change fast, and if you are a good fit, we will certainly do what we can to find a spot for you.
